7 Components of a Good Track/Ratchet Belt

7 COMPONENTS OF A GOOD TRACK/RATCHET BELT

1. PATENTED BUCKLE MECHANISM

A spring-loaded buckle allows your belt to easily, quickly adjust.  Ratchet buckles with magnets and lift levers continually have problems with sticking and staying secure.

2. DURABLE LEATHER

Not all leathers are created equal.  Look for full grain (the best available) or top grain (second best.)  Bonded leather is leather scraps glued together and pressed, which never holds up well. Genuine isn't genuine at all.  And if they won't tell you the type of leather, it's definitely not quality.

3. LONG LASTING TRACK

Kore's 10” track is the longest available (most are 7”). That means we offer 40 size positions for maximum adjustment.

4. QUICK RELEASE TAB

A comfortable, rounded release tab makes it easy to use and secure. No sticking or breaking.

5. RELIABLE TEETH

Kore’s deeper receptacle means the buckle grips into the leather at a maximum depth.  This means more stability between the leather strap and buckle. With teeth too short, buckles and belts separating becomes a major issue.

6. SUPERIOR STITCHING

Heavy duty, nylon thread is what you are looking for.  The track is sewed inside two pieces of leather.  Double stitching guarantees the three pieces will never come apart.

7. SOLID CENTER (gun belts only)

To guarantee a sturdy belt that can securely hold all the items you carry, look for an added layer of strength inside the belt.  Our proprietary Power Core center means your belt will never sag or slag.
