As we say goodbye to the colder months most of us are filtering out the parkas and sweaters and transitioning to a lighter, fresher spring wardrobe. In addition to the longer days, each spring brings us new fashion trends to try out. Today we are focusing on what’s happening in the menswear high fashion world and coming at you with the most approachable trends that you can easily incorporate this season.
Sandals Are The Move
Over the past few years, we have seen a huge shift in men’s footwear trends. Moving away from dressier options and more towards a casual aesthetic. This has been seen in the huge rise in sneakers being worn to any and all occasions, but this spring and summer it is all about slides or sandals. The key to this trend is to stay away from the traditional flip-flop and go for something that is more elevated. A slide is going to be comfortable, easy to wear and give off a laidback vibe. A hiker-esq sandal will provide more durability and add a sporty feel to any outfit. The thing with this trend is that it is completely functional for the hotter months and makes total sense. Basically, it’s a trend we can fully jump on board with.

Shades of Green
There have been plenty of bright colors walking down the 2019 runways but there has also been a huge resurgence of a more neutral and subdued green. Easily the most wearable of this year’s trends this earthy tone can be incorporated in shirts, jackets, pants, or accessories. The great part about this color is that it pairs so easily with almost anything else in your wardrobe. It looks great with denim, grey, black, white, browns, or even other shades of green.

Utility Pockets Are Everywhere
Menswear has been dabbling in the utility trend for a few seasons now. It’s been all about camouflage, cargo pants, and durable fabrics. This spring a feature of this trend has been homed in on and taken to an entirely new level. Utility pockets aren’t just for practicality anymore they are for creating dynamic surfaces on your clothes. The pockets are oversized and placed in slightly unexpected positions that demand attention. There is nothing subtle about this trend but there is something inherently useful about it. Few people have ever complained about having too much pocket space and for the man with stuff to carry around this might be a solution.

Tailored Suits For The Win
A well-tailored suit is always in style, but in Spring 2019 it is one of the key players. What makes suits different this season is both the materials and the cut. Long gone are the days of men being restricted to blue or black wool. Textiles range the entire spectrum of the rainbow and in virtually any print you can dream up. The jacket cut of the season is double-breasted, a slightly less formal look that can be left undone for a more casual appearance.
